S Jaquiski Tartt recorded his second career interception during Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers. Tartt started at free safety in place of FS Jimmie Ward (strained hamstring). Tartt was in on all 67 defensive snaps, moving into more of a linebacker position in obvious passing downs. He led the 49ers with seven tackles.

The injury was diagnosed Monday as a high-ankle sprain, which is expected to keep him out 4-6 weeks. In his 11 plays, Foster made three tackles and defended an incomplete pass.
CB Rashard Robinson both caused and recovered a RB Christian McCaffrey fumble in the 49ers' opening loss to the Carolina Panthers. The forced fumble and recovery were both career firsts. Robinson was in on all 67 defensive snaps in the loss.
MLB NaVorro Bowman dispelled any notion that he'll be a part-time player moving forward in his career by playing 66 of the 67 defensive snaps in Sunday's opener against the Carolina Panthers. Bowman had five tackles in the game.
RB Carlos Hyde averaged a healthy 5.0 yards per carry in Sunday's opener against the Carolina Panthers. However, because of the come-from-behind nature of the game, Hyde got only nine carries, good for 45 yards. He also recorded a career-best-tying six catches for 32 yards.
